Italian giants Juventus sacked their coach Claudio Ranieri on Monday after the Italian tactican slipped the club close to fourth place in the Italian Serie A.

Ranieri took in charge of Juventus at the start of the last season and led them to UEFA Champions League qualifications last season. This season, though, the Turin club were supposed to challenge for the championship but they have failed to do so and are in serious danger of finishing fourth and being forced to quality for next season’s Champions League campaign.
Juventus sacked the former Chelsea and Parma coach and immediately replaced him with Juventus legend Ciro Ferrara. Ranieri, though, was adament that he did all he could in two years at Juve.
He told La Gazzetta dello Sport:
“I knew it would end up this way. Am I relaxed? Yes, I am. I know that I have done my duty.”
