Catalan giants FC Barcelona have been boosted by the news that their star midfielder Andres Iniesta is set to recover from injury in time for the final of the UEFA Champions League final against Manchester United on May 27.
Iniesta suffered a torn muscle in his right leg against Villarreal in a Spanish first division match on Sunday and limped off the pitch. Initially it was thought that the Spanish international midfielder would have to miss the Champions League final against Manchester United on May 27 but it has now been revealed that the injury is not that bad.
It has now been reported that the 25 year old has suffered a small tear in the muscle in his right leg and is similar to the one he suffered in November. At the time he missed two months of all footballing action but he would not be out of action for that long this time, although he would have to sit out of Wednesday’s Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao.
