Ukrainian international striker Andriy Shevchenko is set to make his return to Premier League club Chelsea at the end of the current season when his loan spell at Italian giants AC Milan ends.

Sheva was sent on loan by Chelsea to Milan at the start of the current season in an effort to revitalize the star striker. But he has been unable to regain lost ground at his former club with whom he won the UEFA Champions League in 2003.
So far this season, Andriy Shevchenko has scored only two goals and has made a meagre two starts in the Italian Serie A. His agent Fabio Parisi has told Calciomercato.it that his client has no option but to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the 2008-2009 season.
Parisi said:
“Shevchenko is on loan at Milan from Chelsea and I believe he will go back to London. Truth be told, I don’t think the Rossoneri will decide to keep him. I don’t know anything about the rapport between ‘Sheva’ and his team-mates and [coach Carlo] Ancelotti. The thing is that he is on loan and, considering what happened this season, he will return to Chelsea.”
“It remains to be seen whether he will remain at Chelsea, though,” continued the agent.
“It depends on their new coach and what he wants to do. It’s unlikely he will rescind his contract and I doubt he will move back to Italy this summer. It’s up to him to decide.”
