Madrid have been linked with both Ronaldo of Manchester United and Kaka of AC Milan with a total of 150 million euros said to be teh cost of the two players. Madrid are reported to be willing to splash out as much as 108 million euros for Madrid and are also seemingly eager to pay Milan 60 million euros for the Brazilian international playmaker.
But former Madrid coach Bernd Schuster says that Madrid do not have the funds to sign both Kaka and Ronaldo. The German led Madrid to the Liga title in the 2007-2008 season but was sacked in December 2008 after a run of poor results.
Schuster has been quoted by Marca as saying:
“I don’t think that both Ronaldo and Kaka will come. It would be a miracle. It’s not because they can’t play together because they definitely can. But where would the money come from? Well, maybe even richer people will come to the club this summer.”
