Italian legend Gianfranco Zola has agreed to sign a new contract with Premier League club West Ham United at the end of the season, according to recent reports.
According to The Guardian, Zola has agreed to sign a new contract with the London club at the end of the season. It has been reported that the former Chelsea player shall sign a four year deal in the summer of 2009 that will see him earn 1.5 million pounds per year.
Zola was appointed by West Ham only recently and he has turned around the clubs fortunes in amazing fashion. The Hammers are currently challenging for a Europa League position when at one time they were struggling for survival in the Premier League.
