According to media reports emanating from Spain, Liverpool have pulled themselves from launching bid for the FC Barcelona hitman Samuel Eto’o as they cannot afford him.
According to Catalan daily Sport, Liverpool are no longer interested in bringing this season’s top scorer in La Liga to Anfield in the summer as they wouldn’t be able to afford their wage. Eto’o is said to demand around 9 million euros per season and this would be somewhat too much for the Premier League giants.
The Cameroonian international striker’s contract with Barcelona expires in 2010 and a lot of speculation has been gathering around his future as he is consistently linked with a move away from Camp Nou.
