Premier League side Newcastle United have appointed former player Alan Shearer as their manager for until the end of the season.
Newcastle are currently amindst huge trouble as they are staring towards relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2008-2009 season. They had appointed their second manager of the season in Joe Kinnear but with Kinnear taking a leave to undergo heart surgery, the Geordies have been without any manager since then.
It has now been confirmed that former Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer is to take charge of the club he achieved glory with as a player. The former England international captain has been linked with a managerial job at St. James’ Park earlier but nothing was concrete until now.
Shearer shall be managing Newcastle until the end of the season. But many think that his appointment as the manager of Newcastle is a huge gamble as he has no previous managerial experience.
