Spanish giants and European powerhouse Real Madrid appears to be eyeing the Villarreal coach Manuel Pellegrini for next season.
Real Madrid are set to hold presidential elections at the end of the season and it is widely expected that Florentino Perez would become the new president. It is also anticipated that if Perez indeed becomes the new president of Madrid, then he would get rid of current coach Juande Ramos and appoint someone else.
And according to Catalan daily Sport, that ‘someone else’ could be the Villarreal coach Manuel Pellegrini. The Chilean has been at the helm of the Yellow Submarine for well over four years and has a very deep knowledge of Spanish football. Moreover, his teams adopts a distinct attacking philosophy without neglecting the defence and these traits are said to have impressed Perez.
However, it must be mentioned that the likes of Carlo Ancelotti, Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho are said to have interested Perez.
