Catalan giants FC Barcelona are reportedly still chasing French international left back Patrice Evra.
British tabloid News of the World reports that Barcelona are looking to prise Evra away from Manchester United in the summer. It has been speculated that Barca are ready to splash out as muh as 22 million euros for the player’s signature.
Barca’s current first choice left back is Evra’s compatriot Eric Abidal but the former Lyon star is out for two months due to injury. But Abidal has looked under par this season and there are reports that he might be sent back to the French Ligue 1.
For Barca, though, it would not be easy signing Evra. The 27-year old has recently signed a new four year contract with the Old Trafford club and is firmly established as the number one elft back for the reigning Premier League and European champions.
