The World Cup winner’s current contract with the Blancos end in June this year and the former Juventus defender admits that he is yet to hear a concrete offer from the club.
But Cannavaro does insist that he shall listen to offers from other clubs only after he has received a clean signal from Madrid. Speaking to Eurosport.es, he said:
“The club is in a difficult position at the moment because of the situation with the president and there is not any time to discuss a renewal. It looks like I must wait.
“The most important thing for me right now is to continue working hard as I have always done, from day to day. I am happy in Madrid so I will have to see what happens.”
