French international striker Karim Benzema is up for the sale in the summer of 2009, his club president has admitted.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has admitted that there top European clubs are in the hunt for the prized signature of one of Europe’s best strikers. Speaking to Le 10 Sport, the hard-ball playing Aulas admitted that Spanish giants Real Madrid and FC Barcelona and reigning Premier League and European champions Manchester United all had expressed interest in the youngster.
Furthermore, he has also revealed that they are open for negoatiations. Aulas said:
“Real Madrid are interested him. So are Barcelona and Manchester United.
“We also received a very interesting offer from an English club in January, however, we did not want that and he is still a Lyon player.
“There are opportunities that only come around once and we must negotiate. If there are potential buyers, we must look at them and always bear in mind the potential financial gain.”
