Paris St-Germain has been accused of “moral harassment” after left French striker Kylian Mbappe out of their Pre-Season Asian Tour.

Mbappe had said that he will not be extending his contract with PSG, which has around 12 months left to it. As a result, the club is now looking to sell the Striker to get a fee, but Mbappe is remaining firm and wants to finish his contract with the team.

Back in 2017, he moved to PSG from Monaco in a contract that cost the French club £165.7M.

Now, he has been left out of the club’s Asian Tour and is not part of the squad going to Japan and South Korea. In a statement, a representative for the National Union of Professional Footballers said:

“These players must enjoy the same working conditions as the rest of the professional workforce.”

“The UNFP feels it would be useful to remind managers that putting pressure on an employee - via the deterioration of their working conditions, for example - to force them to leave or accept what the employer wants constitutes moral harassment, which French law firmly condemns.”

“The UNFP reserves the right to take civil and criminal action against any club that behaves in this way.”

Mbappe has been one of the stronger players in the PSG lineup since he joined them in 2017, scoring 212 goals in the 260 games he’s been in.

It is widely expected that he will be transferring to Real Madrid when his contract with PSG comes to a close.
