Real Madrid FC agreed with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jude Bellingham to a 103M Euros deal.
The 19-year-old joined Borussia from Birmingham City back in July 2020. He was also one of the top performers for England during the World Cup in Qatar last year.
Bellingham is reportedly excited about the move and will have a medical next month.
Dortmund confirmed that Real Madrid agreed to pay 103M Euros with add-ons that could potentially total 133.9M Euros.
Other sides who were keen to sign the teen include Manchester City and Liverpool.
Liverpool dropped out of the competition to get Bellingham as Jurgen Klopp commented that the big money transfers were like a “child wanting a Ferrari for Christmas”.
“We are not children; when you ask a five-year-old what they want for Christmas and they say a Ferrari, you wouldn’t say ‘Oh, that’s a good idea’,” he added.
“You would say ‘No, that is too expensive, and anyway, you cannot drive it’. If this kid is then unhappy their whole life because he cannot get a Ferrari, it would be a really sad life.”
With this deal with Real Madrid, he is set to become the third most expensive teenager in the world.
Bellingham was named the Bundesliga Player of the Season. He also made history at Dortmund, becoming the youngest captain for the club at 19.
He played a total of 42 matches with Dortmund and scored 14 goals with 7 assists.
