Another big name moves to play for Saudi Arabia.

“Benzema is here. A new tiger will roar. Welcome to Ittihad!,” the club posted on Twitter.

He will join Cristiano Ronaldo who moved to Saudi Arabia to play for Al Nassr after last years World Cup. Lionel Messi, whose contract ends with Paris St-Germain this summer is also rumored to be considering a move to the Kingdom.

Reports have come out that senior officials of the club Al Hilal have flown to France in the hopes of sealing a deal with Messi after the World Cup winner played his last game with PSG over the weekend.

The delegation is also hoping for a meeting with Messis agent and father Joe Messi, hoping to get a contract signed as soon as possible.

The announcement of Benzemas move was made just days after Real Madrid said that the player was leaving the club after 14 seasons. This was just days after Coach Carlo Ancelotti assured reporters that there was no doubt of Benzema staying on.

He joined Madrid in 2009. Since then, he has made 648 appearances for the team and scored 354 goals, second only to former teammate Ronaldo.

Benzema has also helped the team win Champions League, four La Liga titles, and three Copas del Rey.

Unfortunately, he has been troubled by injuries in the past few seasons and even had to miss Frances World Cup rally last year.

A goodbye ceremony was held for him in Reals training grounds on Tuesday.

“It hurts me because I had a dream in my head - to sign for Madrid, and finish at Madrid,” he said.

“But sometimes life gives you other opportunities.
