Reports have speculated since May that the forward will leave the French Club when his contract with the team expires at the end of the summer.
Messi joined PSG in July 2021. He has since helped the team win two Ligue 1 titles back to back.
“I had the privilege of coaching the best player in the history of football,” said Galtier.
“This will be his last match at the Parc des Princes and I hope that he will receive the warmest of welcomes.”
Messi’s relationship with PSG fans soured following his two-week suspension for traveling to Saudi Arabia without permission from the club. The club had to increase security at his home as fans protested outside.
It was not always like that, after coming back following Argentina’s World Cup win, it looked like he was set to stay and Messi and the team had planned on extending his contract by a year before minds were changed.
In his time with PSG, Messi has made 32 goals in 74 matches. Despite winning La Liga twice, PSG failed to make it past the last 16 for the past two seasons.
Messi is yet to make an announcement on the future of his football career.
