Manchester City Overpowers Real Madrid

Manchester City dominated Real Madrid 4-0 to reach the Champions League finals against FC Milan.

City lost the past two semifinals they had against Real Madrid but they have well and truly redeemed themselves at Etihad Stadium and are now one step closer to winning the Champions League trophy.

It was a magical first half and it carried through the rest of the match with City now allowing Madrid to make even a single score despite their efforts.

And try they did – Earling Haaland made two attempts but they were thwarted by Real’s keeper Thibault Courtois. But he was eventually powerless to stop Bernardo Silva at close range.

City is now in a good position to win the Treble and they could become only the second club to do so after Manchester United in 1999.

Aside from the Champions League, they are also in a good spot in the Premier League and are looking to have finally broken Arsenal and are the overwhelming favorites to beat Inter Milan in June.

Since Haaland was added to the roster, City seems to have regained new energy and many fans are hoping that they will indeed become this year’s champions.

As for Real, this defeat feels like the end of an era of sorts. Reports have been coming out that Carlo Ancelotti’s future is uncertain. But whether he stays or not will not erase the fact that he is the only coach to have won the tournament four times.
