The Argentina captain was initially suspended for two weeks, following PSG’s loss to Lorient on April 30.
PSG manager Christophe Galtier made the announcement saying: “He will start tomorrow”.
“I spoke with him on Tuesday to see what his mindset was and I found him very determined to play.”
Last Friday, Messi apologized to his teammates for making the unauthorized trip. Messi is a tourism ambassador for Saudi Arabia. He returned to training on Monday.
“He’s very eager to win that title,” Galtier added.
“With him in the team, we’ll have to adjust compared to what we did against Troyes. Leo is Leo. I’m not going to go into statistics but when he’s with us we have to strike a different balance.”
Messi is almost certain to leave PSG after his contract expires this summer.
Messi has been playing for PSG since 2021. He has appeared in 54 games of the club, scoring 21 goals. Prior to his stint in PSG, he played for Barcelona, the club he played with since he turned pro in 2003.
There is some speculation that he might move to play for Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal after leaving PSG, adding to the growing list of footballers playing in the country, Cristiano Ronaldo, included.
