Paris Saint-Germain head coach Christophe Galtier wouldnt be drawn on his future following his side’s UEFA Champions League exit with a 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

PSG succumbed to the German champions 3-0 on aggregate in their last-16 clash, meaning the big-spending Parisians have failed in the Champions League again.

“It’s really too early to talk about it,” Galtier said when asked about his future.

“My future obviously depends on my sports management and my president. There is a disappointment, that’s how it is.

“The club pinned a lot of hopes on this competition. I’m staying the course, I’m still focused on the end of the season with a lot of energy and determination.”

PSG’s European failure comes in contrast to their domestic success, leading Ligue 1 by eight points, although that is largely expected given their riches.

“We are going to make sure to get the title of champions,” Galtier added.

“We will see when we will recover our players and have an almost complete workforce. Is it a bad season if we are only champions? I leave it up to other people to judge.

“Obviously there were a lot of expectations for the Champions League. The big regret is not being able to fight with all our strength.”

Galtier took over as PSG boss in July last year, guiding the side to 27 wins, five draws and five losses so far from 37 games.

He took over from Mauricio Pochettino who presided at Parc des Princes for 18 months, replacing Thomas Tuchel who lasted just over two years in the role.
