Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri was left confused whether VAR correctly disallowed his side’s disallowed late winner in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Salernitana in Serie A.

The Bianconeri fought back from a 2-0 half-time deficit with second-half goals from Bremer and Leonardo Bonucci.

However, Juve were denied a late winner, causing chaos and four red cards to be handed out, after Arkadiusz Milik’s header from a corner was deemed offside by the VAR with Bonucci interfering with play.

But the only replays shown on TV did not include Antonio Candreva who had gone to block the source at the corner.

Amid the chaos, Milik was sent off for removing his shirt in celebrations, before a touchline brawl broke out with Juan Cuadrado, Federico Fazio and Allegri sent off too.

“I never talk to referees after games, a goal was disallowed and its a fact,” Allegri said.

“The only thing is that I’d like to watch the video again. Antonio Candreva is close to the corner and we haven’t seen that video, what if he keeps everyone onside?

“We don’t have that video, nobody has it, so I don’t know.

“However, referees must be left alone, the protagonists are the footballers. We have 10-15 good referees in Italy.”

Allegri wouldn’t be drawn further on the incident but seemed irritated.

“I want to go to eat because its late, I don’t want to know anything,” he told DAZN.

“Was it a very bad performance? No, you say so, you see games, but you don’t watch them. The opening 20 minutes were very good. Then we conceded this goal from a wrong interpretation of Cuadrado.”
