The Blaugrana have had off-field issues following an off-season spending frenzy but one of their new additions, Kounde, has not been registered due to the club being unable to meet La Liga’s Financial Fair Play rules.
The situation is ongoing with the club hopeful of a solution before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.
Kounde, who signed Barca from Sevilla, along with Marcos Alonso, who is set to officially join from Chelsea, have not been part of either of their first two games.
“It bothers us all but Mateu (football director Mateu Alemany) and Jordi (director Cruyff) are doing an extraordinary job,” Xavi said.
“It bothers me because we signed him to play and he understands that.
“Lets wait for the next week, lets see if there is luck in this.”
Barcelona produced some fine football in Sunday’s win with Ansu Fati coming off the bench to provide two classy assists and a goal.
Robert Lewandowski also claimed his first two goals for the Catalans, including one inside the first minute.
“We have many, many players, top players up front: Robert, Ansu, Raphinha, Ousmane Ferran, he played really well,” Xavi said.
“Robert made the difference today, we are really happy to have him in the squad.”
Xavi added: “It was a difficult game, it always is when you come here. When we play with more patience, like in the second half, were much better. We lacked that in the first half.
“We spoke at the break about attacking the space better, that is what we needed to do. We deserved to win. We have to correct many things but we are in a good way.”
