Cristiano Ronaldo Due to Meet Manchester United Manager to Discuss His Future with the Club

The 37-year-old Portuguese forward is set to meet Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag to discuss his future with the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo has previously made it known that he wants Manchester to let him leave this summer. He has also missed the clubs pre-season Thailand and Australia tour citing personal reasons.

His absence from the tour has fueled speculations that he is really leaving. To add to that, he also missed the pre-season training at Carrington.

Ten Hag had previously stated that Ronaldo is part of the clubs plans and that he is not for sale.

He also added, “I had a good talk. That is between Cristiano and me. What I can confirm is we had a really good conversation together.”

Last season, Ronaldo was the clubs top scorer, third in the Premier League. However, the team missed out on the Champions League qualifications, which has Ronaldo facing playing in the Europa League for the first time.

This is clearly not something that appeals to Ronaldo relishes and he feels that there may be more attractive options in his horizon. Teams that have shown interest in the player include Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

But it remains clear that United does not consider Ronaldo for sale or for trade. He still has a year remaining on his contract with the team.

On Saturday, the team is set to play against Atletico Madrid in Norway. Then they are to play their final pre-season game against Rayo Vallecano at Old Tafford on Sunday.
