Spanish champions and European powerhouse Real Madrid still seem to stretching on their hopes of signing youngster Ashley Young from Aston Villa in January.
Real have expressed their wish to sign a top draw winger in January and it appears that the Aston Villa star is at the top of their January shopping list.
Ashley Young was signed by Aston Villa in January 2007 for 8 million pounds and has developed to be a very vital piece of Martin O’Neill’s Aston Villa jigsaw.
Villa are chasing a top four finish in the Premier League this season and it is unlikely that they shall let one of their best players leave midway through the season.
But it has been reported that to prise the player away from Villa Park, Real Madrid are willing to give Aston Villa cash as well a player, possibly Rafael van der Vaart.
In any case, it does not seem too likely that Ashley Young would move to the Bernabeu in January.
