According to reports emerging from both England and Spain, Spanish champions and European powerhouse Real Madrid have signed Lassana Diarra from Premier League club Portsmouth.
Real Madrid have been doing some player-hunting as they look to reinforce their squad in January for the second half of the season. They have already signed Dutch international strike Klaas-Jaan Huntellar from Dutch powerhouse Ajax.
The Merengues now seem to have signed Diarra from Portsmouth. It has been reported that Portsmouth have accepted the bid for the former Chelsea and Arsenal player.
Diarra is a versatile player who can play as a right back, central defender and defensive midfielder. It is being said that Lassana Diarra is actually a replacement for Mahamadou Diarra who has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
