A potential loan deal for the Gabon striker appeared set to collapse earlier in the day but it was revived with Aubameyang reportedly accepting a pay cut.
Aubameyang flew to Barcelona to complete the formalities although neither club officially announced the deal yet given he has joined as a free agent. Barca are expected to announce the deal on Tuesday morning local time.

Tottenham also had a frantic deadline day, letting Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele and Bryan Gil exit on loan to Villarreal, Olympique Lyon and Valencia respectively.
Spurs also drafted in Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus, with the former joining on an 18-month loan, while Juve picked up Denis Zakaria from Borussia Monchengladbach.
River Plate’s young Argentine Julian Alvarez joined Manchester City, while Barcelona held on to Ousmane Dembele amid talk of a move away to PSG. Jesse Lingard also remained with Manchester United.
