English champions Manchester City have been sensationally drawn alongside French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League group stage.

The two clubs are the past two Champions League runners-up and have spent significant money in the transfer market in recent times.

City and PSG will also be joined by emerging German powerhouse RB Leipzig in Group A, as well as Belgian champions Club Brugge.

PSG landed Lionel Messi this off-season, along with Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi and Georginio Wijnaldum.

City, who have been linked with a move for Cristiano Ronaldo, spent 100m pounds to sign Jack Grealish and had been keen on Harry Kane util he re-committed to Tottenham this week.

Liverpool have been drawn in Group B alongside Spanish champions Atletico Madrid, which will see Luis Suarez come up against his former club.

The Reds and Atleti are joined by FC Porto and AC Milan, who are back in Europe’s top echelon after a seven-year absence.

Italian champions Inter Milan have been grouped with Real Madrid as well as Shakhtar Donetsk and first timers Sheriff Tiraspol.

Barcelona are alongside German champions Bayern Munich, along with Benfica and Dynamo Kiev.

Manchester United are in Group F with Europa League final nemesis Villarreal, as well as Atalanta and Young Boys.

Reigning European champions Chelsea are grouped with Juventus, Zenit St Petersburg and Malmo FF.
