Real Madrid have already been burdened with the injury crisis as they have injury concerns in all the three departments. While key striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is out for the rest of the season, the likes of Mahamadou Diarra, Ruben de la Red and Arjen Robben too are suffering long-term injury layoffs.

Real coach Bernd Schuster would now have to do without Heinze for at least three weeks. According to the Madrid based Spanish sports daily Marca, it has been revealed that the Argentine international defender sustained a serious knock in his left leg during Tuesday’s clash with BATE Borisov in the Champions League. He is now anticipated to be on the sidelines for three weeks due to a severe bruise in his triceps.

Real Madrid are recovering from a run of poor results but the injuries do not seem to stop, adding to the agony of Schuster and his men. Defender Fabio Cannavaro, striker Gonzalo Higuain and midfielder Wesley Sneijder too are struggling to return to full fitness and Schuster has a tough team selection to make against Getafe in La Liga on Saturday.
