Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero has spoken very highly of the new stadium that the Old Lady are planning to build and has said that it will be one of the best stadiums in Europe.
Juventus have decided to construct a new stadium that should be ready by 2011. The stadium is estimated to cost 100 million euros and should be one of the best in Europe.
Del Piero, who has seen the plans, is very much impressed and says that after 2011, he wouldn’t have to envy other stadiums. He says that the new stadium would be better than the San Siro or Old Trafford.
The Italian international striker told the club’s website:
“We will not be envious of Milan’s or Manchester United’s stadium with our new one.
“Once again, Juve have proved to be the number one. The new project is unique and we should be proud.
“We will feel the fans close to us and the supporters will be close to us all week rather than just once every seven days.
“There is great passion and a tradition which started with the Agnelli family which we will continue.”
