The former Tottenham Hotspur and England international striker was impressed by Sterling’s performance for the Three Lions against Germany on Tuesday evening.
Sterling scored the opening goal for England in their 2-0 win against Germany at Wembley Stadium in the Euro 2020 Round of 16 tie.
It was the former Liverpool star’s third goal of the competition for England, who have booked their place in the quarter-finals of the European Championship.

Against Germany on Tuesday evening, Sterling, who can also play as a winger, took two shots, had a pass accuracy of 82.6%, took 45 touches, attempted three dribbles, made two tackles, and put in two crosses.
The 26-year-old has scored three goals in four Euro 2020 games for England.
