Gary Neville has said that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will not be affected by his failure to score for England at the ongoing Euro 2020 finals so far.

England have won Euro 2020 Group D with seven points from three matches and have progressed to the Round of 16.

Gareth Southgate’s side kicked off their European Championship with a 1-0 win against Croatia before drawing 0-0 with Scotland.

Then on Tuesday, the Three Lions got the better of the Czech Republic 1-0 at Wembley Stadium in London.

Tottenham striker Kane started in all three of England’s games at Euro 2020, but the 27-year-old has failed to score.

Kanes performances have been disappointing as well, and there have been suggestions that he should be dropped.

Former Manchester United and England international defender Neville does not think that failing to score will affect Kane at all in subsequent games.

Neville said on ITV: “We said before the game, would he be affected by the last couple of games?

“He’s absolutely not. He’s methodical. That’s what he does. Touch and hit. And the goals will come.”
