Scotland suffered a 3-1 defeat to Croatia at Hampden Park in their final Euro 2020 Group D game.
Madrid midfielder Modric was the star of the show, as the former Tottenham Hotspur ace scored a wonder-goal and also provided the assist for another.
The result saw Scotland finish at the bottom of Group D with just a point from three matches.
Liverpool left-back Robertson and Scotland international Robertson is disappointed with the defeat, but he has hailed Modric for the way he ran the midfield.
Robertson told BBC Sport: “It’s massively disappointing. Croatia showed why they’ve got to a World Cup final.
“They showed their experience. Modric just ran the game and scored a wonderful goal. But I’m so proud of all the players, and proud to be captain of this country.”
