Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire has said that he is fit to play for England against Scotland this week.

England will take on Scotland at Wembley Stadium in London in their second Euro 2020 Group D game on Friday.

Gareth Southgate’s side kicked off their European Championship campaign with a 1-0 victory over Croatia at Wembley last weekend.

Manchester City attacking midfielder Raheem Sterling scored the only goal of the match in the 57th minute when he turned in a wonderful ball from Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

United central defender Maguire missed the match against Croatia due to a high ankle sprain.

However, the 28-year-old has said that he is now fit to face Scotland.

Maguire told Sky Sports: “I feel good, I’ve been training now. Obviously the injury was a setback club football wise.

“Internationally I wanted to come into this with a lot of games under my belt with full fitness, but I feel good. I’m back available, been training and I’m looking forward to it.”
