Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wrapped up the scoring for last season’s Premier League champions in the 88th minute.
The result means that Liverpool are now fourth in the Premier League table with 66 points from 37 games.
The Merseyside club are one point behind third-placed Chelsea and level on points with fifth-placed Leicester City, who have an inferior goal difference.
