The Liverpool legend believes that Tottenham will pick up all three points from their Premier League game against Villa at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium courtesy of a 2-1 win.
Lawrenson wrote on BBC Sport: “Tottenham’s home form has held up over the past few weeks, but they are not going to get in the Champions League from here.
“Spurs should be able to get at Villa, who let another lead slip at Crystal Palace on Sunday and seem to be leaking more goals at the moment.”
Tottenham are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 59 points from 36 matches.
Ryan Mason’s side are seven points behind fourth-placed Leicester City, who have played 37 games.
Spurs will head into the match against Villa on the back of a 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Meanwhile, Villa currently find themselves 11th in the league table with 49 points from 36 games.
Dean Smith’s side will head into the match against Tottenham on the back of a 3-2 defeat to Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park in London in the league.
