Reigning Spanish champions and European powerhouse Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing a move to sign Inter Milan’s out of favour Argentine striker Hernan Crespo.

In the wake of the stunning news that Real’s top striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is set to miss the rest of the season due to a surgery on his knee, the Merengues have been linked with a number of top draw strikers in recent days.
The names of Carlos Tevez of Manchester United, Didier Drogba of Chelsea and Diego Milito of Genoa all have been thrown into the fray but nothing concrete has materialized yet.
Now according to Datasport, the nine times European champions are looking to replce van Nistelrooy with the veteran Argentine Hernan Crespo. Crespo has been in and out of the Inter Milan starting xi since last season and under coach Jose Mourinho has been left out of the club’s squad for this season’s UEFA Champions League.
So if Real do indeed sign Crespo, then they would be able to play in the Champions League as well. But at the moment a move for Crespo to the Bernabeu doesn’t look too feasible.
