City got the better of Villa 2-1 away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
The Villans took the lead in the very first minute when John McGinn slotted home from close range.
Phil Foden restored parity for Pep Guardiola’s side midway through the first half, and Rodri made it 2-1 to the visiting team on 40 minutes.
City were reduced to 10 men on 44 minutes when John Stones was sent off, while Villa had Matty Cash dismissed on 57 minutes.
The win against Villa mean that City are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 77 points from 33 matches, as many as 11 points clear of second-placed and city rivals Manchester United, who have played 32 games.
