McGregors original deal with Rangers was due to run out at the end of the season, but the Scottish goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a new one-year contract that will see him stay at Ibrox until the summer of 2022.
The 39-year-old goalkeeper has been one of the best players for Rangers this season, helping Steven Gerrard’s side win the Scottish Premiership and reach the Europa League Round of 16
McGregor told Rangers’ official website: “I didn’t really need convincing. It was more that my body felt okay and performances seemed okay, so why not?
“Throughout your career, you pick up advice from physios, nutritionists and coaches etc., and every bit of that helps. You take a bit of everything and use it to what suits you. That is what I have been doing and it has been going okay.”
