England head coach Gareth Southgate has named his 26-man squad for the Three Lions’ upcoming World Cup qualifiers against San Marino, Albania and Poland.
City right-back Walker is among the players who will be involved for the Three Lions, and the 30-year-old is overjoyed at the decision, as he made the following post on Instagram.
Walker has played 53 times for England so far in his career, and his performances for City so far this season suggest that he will be part of the Three Lions’ squad for the European Championship in the summer of 2021.
The former Tottenham Hotspur right-back is playing well for the Citizens, who look set to win the Premier League title this season and have also progressed to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The right-back has made 18 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for City so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.
