Premier League club Chelsea got the better of Atletico Madrid 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in London in the second leg of their [[Champions League’’ Round of 16 tie.
The win saw the Blues progress to the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club competition 3-0 on aggregate.
France international central midfielder Kante played in the game, and his performance was brilliant and earned him the Man of the Match award.
The 29-year-old former Leicester City star had a pass accuracy of 68.8%, won one header, took 24 touches, and attempted one dribble.
Chelsea manager Tuchel was impressed by Kante’s performance and has spoken highly of him.
Tuchel told Chelsea’s official website: “I never know the age of my players because I just judge from their performances. If you play with NG, you always play with minimum half a man more because he gives an intensity volume that is simply outstanding and this is unique. It’s a pleasure to be coach for him and it’s a big gift for me.
“A guy so humble and don’t underestimate his quality in passing, dribbling and escaping the pressure. There are still things to improve with him but it’s fantastic to have him.”
