Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez has taken to Instagram to revel in his side’s progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League at the expense of Atalanta.
Madrid got the better of Atalanta 3-1 at home in the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie on Tuesday evening.
Having won the first leg of the tie 1-0 in Italy, the 13-time European champions have progressed to the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club competition 4-1 on aggregate.
Karim Benzema put the defending Spanish champions in the lead after 34 minutes, and Sergio Ramos doubled the advantage from the penalty spot in the 60th minute.
Marco Asensio wrapped up the scoring for Madrid in the 84th, with Vazquez providing him with the assist.
Vazquez, 29, has taken to Instagram to revel in Madrid’s progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
