Michael Owen has backed Arsenal to win against Olympiakos in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Arsenal will take on Olympiakos away from home in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie away from home at Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.
The Gunners will head into the match against the Greek giants on the back of a 1-1 draw with Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the Premier League.
The result means that Mikel Artetas side are 10th in the league table at the moment with 38 points from 27 matches, as many as 12 points behind fourth-placed and London rivals Chelsea, who have played 28 games.
With Arsenals chances of finishing in the top four slim, the Europa League has become very important for the North London club.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen believes that Arsenal will win the first leg 1-0.
Owen said: “These two are no stranger to each other. Olympiakos came away with the win against Arsenal last season, however, the Gunners are in great form this time round.
“Arsenal have scored at least three goals in six of their last seven matches, and with that in mind, I think they’ll have enough to take a lead back to the Emirates.”
