Marcus Rashford leads the list of high profile players likely to miss the game, along with David de Gea, Edinson Cavani, Donny van de Beek, Juan Mata and Paul Pogba.
Rashford limped off in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Manchester City, with the Norwegian describing him as a “maybe” to be available, after initially saying he expects he’ll miss.
“I don’t think he’ll be available for tomorrow,” Solskjaer said. “He’s still getting treatment but he didn’t join in the training today.
“Even though normally I’m a very optimistic guy, I still think he’s going to be out tomorrow night and a doubt for the weekend.
“But that 60-70 yard recovery run (against City) just showed the hunger and spirit and the humility in our work that we’ve got at the moment.
“It was probably worth it there and then, but you’re never happy when you lose players for games.”
He added: “I’m not sure if anyone will be back. David is not available. Donny, no. Paul, no. Edinson, maybe, but probably not. Juan, no and Marcus, maybe, but probably not. So it’s similar to Sunday, but maybe we’ve lost Marcus.”
Elsewhere on Thursday, Arsenal play away to Olympiacos, while Tottenham host Dinamo Zagreb.
Spurs are practically at full strength except for Giovani Lo Celso, while the Gunners will look to knock out the Greek side who beat them at this stage last year.
“Obviously it was a really tough one to swallow,” Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said on Wednesday. “The way it happened at the end, it was really cruel.
“After everything we did in the two games, to lose the way we did and with the late chance Auba had… but we moved on. We have some feelings towards that team and we want to put it right in the next round.”
