City bounced back from their defeat to Manchester United last weekend with a 5-2 hammering of Southampton at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola’s side went down 2-0 to United at home in the Manchester derby last Sunday.
On Wednesday evening, City eased past Southampton 5-2 at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.
De Bruyne scored twice for the home side and so did Riyad Mahrez, while Ilkay Gundogan found the back of the net once.

The win against Southampton means that City are now at the top of the Premier League table with 68 points from 29 matches.
Guardiola’s side are as many as 14 points clear of second-placed Manchester United, who have played 28 games.
City will return to action on Saturday evening when they take on Fulham away from home at Craven Cottage in London in the Premier League.
