According to Turin-based Tuttosport, Juventus are eager to land the PSV Eindhoven star Ibrahim Afellay and the Werder Bremen playmaker Diego in January so as to strenghten their squad both for the Italian Serie A and the UEFA Champions League.
Afellay, who has earned a very good reputation for himself for his lethal left foot, can play either in the midfield or just behind the strikers. He is speculated to be keen on joining a top draw European club and the Old Lady of Turin are supposedly in taking advantage of the situation.
Juventus have also expressed a keen desire to take on board the Brazilian international midfielder Diego in January. The player is currently with German heavyweights Werder Bremen but he has been linked with a move out of the German Bundesliga since the end of last season.
Juve are eager to offload their want-away midfielder Tiago to Bremen if that procures them Diego. Diego himself has not said anything specific on this matter but a move to an Italian and European powerhouse would be too lucrative a move for him to resist.
