John Aldridge has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Liverpool’s defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion on Wednesday evening.

Defending English champions Liverpool suffered a shock 1-0 loss at the hands of relegation-threatened Brighton at Anfield in the Premier League.

Steven Alzate’s fortuitous goal in the 56th minute proved to be the difference between the two clubs.

Former Liverpool striker Aldridge has given his reaction on Twitter to the defeat for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Anfield on Wednesday evening, hosts Liverpool had 63% of the possession, took 11 shots of which one was on target, and earned six corners.

The Merseyside club are now fourth in the Premier League table with 40 points from 22 matches, as many as seven points behind leaders Manchester City, who have played 21 games.

Liverpool will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on City at Anfield in the league.
