West Ham United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard has taken to Instagram to give his reaction to his side’s win against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.

Lingard, who can also operate as a winger, scored twice for West Ham in their 3-1 victory over Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League.

The 28-year-old England international joined the Hammers on loan from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the January transfer window.

The game against Villa was his debut, and Lingard has revelled in his heroics and in the win for the Hammers.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Villa Park on Wednesday evening, hosts Villa had 57% of the possession, took nine shots of which two were on target, and earned seven corners.

Visitors West Ham had 43% of the possession, took 20 shots of which 10 were on target, and earned three corners.

The result means that David Moyes’s side are now fifth in the Premier League table with 38 points from 22 matches, just two points behind defending English champions and fourth-placed Liverpool.
