Mark Lawrenson has predicted the London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea this week to end in a 1-1 draw.

Tottenham and Chelsea will lock horns with each other at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Thursday evening.

Jose Mourinho’s side will head into the match against the Blues on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion away from home in the league.

It followed a 3-1 loss at the hands of Liverpool at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the league.

Tottenham are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 33 points from 20 matches, six points behind fourth-placed Leicester City, who have played 21 games.

Meanwhile, Chelsea currently find themselves seventh in the standings with 33 pints from 21 games.

The Blues are will head into the match against Spurs on the back of a 2-0 victory over Burnley at Stamford Bridge in London in the league.

Liverpool legend Lawrenson believes that the London derby between Tottenham and Chelsea will finish 1-1.

Lawrenson told BBC Sport: “This is Thomas Tuchel’s biggest test so far as Chelsea manager, even with Tottenham on a poor run of form.It seems to be the same old story with Spurs - Harry Kane gets injured, and they are not the same team without him.

“Gareth Bale’s arrival last September was meant to help change that, but he looks a shadow of his former self. Bale has lost that zip which was his trademark and when I watch him play, it doesn’t really seem like he is enjoying it.”
