FC Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has confirmed that he is not interested in moving to any club and has said that he wants to stay on at Camp Nou for the rest of his playing career.
The Albacete born Spanish international footballer has been with Barcelona since he was 13 years of age. He developed marvelously at the Barcelona youth academy and is now one of the most important players in the current Barcelona squad.
Iniesta also won the European championships with Spain in the summer and is now rated as one of the best attacking midfielders in the world. This has understandably raised his profiles and a few of the biggest clubs in European football have whispered their interest in signing the player.
But the player himself has dismissed all these rumours and has said that he is only intent on carrying on playing for the Catalan club for the rest of his life.
He told TV3:
“My idea has always been the same and that is to retire here, at the club I joined when I was 12. I hope I can stay here forever.
The interest from other clubs is good because it shows that I am playing well.”
