The former Tottenham Hotspur and England international striker was impressed by the performance of Grealish during Villas’ 3-2 defeat to Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
The 25-year-old England international, who can also operate as a winger, scored the second goal for the Villans in the 68th minute.
Grealish created chances and was a constant problem for the Burnley defence, although in the end, it was the home team that bagged all three points.
The attacking midfielder took three shots, played five key passes, had a pass accuracy of 88.4%, took 67 touches, attempted four dribbles, and put in three crosses.
So far this season, Grealish has scored six goals and provided eight assists in 18 Premier League matches for Villa.
Dean Smiths side are 10th in the Premier League table at the moment with 29 points from 18 matches.
