Madrid got the better of Monchengladbach 2-0 at home in their final [[Champions League</a> Group B game to book their place in the last-16 stage of Europe’s premier club competition.
Zinedine Zidane’s side headed into the match against the German club at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium in third place in the group and in real danger of going out of the competition.
However, Los Blancos turned on the style under pressure. French striker Karim Benzema put the 13-time European champions in the lead with a header in the ninth minute and added a second on 31 minutes.
Madrid defender Ramos has revelled in the win for his side and has also hailed his teammate Benzema for his heroics.
