The former Arsenal striker believes that Eriksen would make Mikel Arteta’s current team better in attack.
Campbell has added that he would welcome the Denmark international attacking midfielder at the Emirates Stadium despite him being a former Tottenham player.
The 28-year-old moved to Tottenham, Arsenal’s bitter North London rivals, from Ajax in the summer of 2013, and after a very successful spell, left for Italian and European giants Inter Milan in January 2020.
The attacking midfielder has not been a massive success at Inter, and there is speculation in the Italian media that manager Antonio Conte is open to letting him leave when the transfer window opens in January.
It has been claimed that former Chelsea manager Conte would consider a swap deal involving Eriksen and Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka.
Campbell told Football Insider: “Eriksen played for the rivals but we all know the quality he possesses, that is for sure. It is not quite working out for him at Inter Milan right now and I am sure he would be a good addition to Arsenals squad.
“I do not care if he played for Spurs - he is a superb player who can bring something to the table for Arsenal. I would not mind it if we swapped Eriksen for Xhaka. The key is building and fattening that squad up to challenge and you can never have enough quality players.”
